The layer is curated to the gold-relevant permit polygons: mining leases, mining claims, exploration permits and mineral development licences, both granted and under application. Filter by type and by status to focus it. This is held ground: a granted tenement means someone else has the legal rights to that ground, even where the surface looks open. Tap a tenement to open its detail: id, type, status, holder, dates, and where recorded its permitted minerals and area. The access routes to these tenements are held ground too, and they run well past the boundaries drawn here; add Queensland Tenement Access to see them. Always confirm access before you detect.
