What it shows
Shaded relief built from Queensland bare-earth LiDAR, at half a metre and one metre. Trees and buildings are stripped away, so it shows the ground itself: old workings, sluiced gullies, races, dam walls, terraces and creek lines that no ordinary map shows. Read it to find where ground has been worked before and to follow the lie of the land into new country. Survey is concentrated along the east, and where none was flown the layer is blank rather than coarse, so everything drawn is detail a survey actually captured. The detail holds as you zoom in, and the look can be changed to suit the ground. Elevation data © State of Queensland, CC BY 4.0.
